Pedalpalooza Kickoff Party
and World Naked Bike Ride
June 10th –In BikeTown USA, everyday is a joy ride. And nothing says “One Less Car” quite like a moon rising over the handlebars.
Join the ever-growing bike community in celebration of pedal power and stick it to the Big Oil Machine at the Official Pedalpalooza Kick-Off Party and World Naked Bike Ride on Saturday, June 10, 2006.
Part dance party, part global activism, the Kick-Off Party begins at 9 p.m. and culminates with an en masse nude bike parade through the streets of Portland at Midnight. Not content to merely host the largest World Naked Bike Ride in North America, this year’s organizers want to challenge Zaragoza and London for the largest ride on the planet! Not into totally disrobing? Don’t worry, all comers are welcomed. And, the dance party continues post bike ride.
| What: | Pedalpalooza is a near month long celebration of bike culture loosely orchestrated by the organization SHIFT and volunteers from the bicycle community. Disjecta hosts this one-of-a-kind event at its new home in the Templeton Building, 230 E Burnside. Admission to the event is by donation; there will be a cash bar. |
